About You:

Will McCord is a graduate of Columbia’s MFA program in screenwriting and directing and been making films for over a decade. He’s made numerous short films and low-budget music videos that have screened at festivals internationally including New Directors/New Films (presented by MoMA and Lincoln Center), Miami, at Anthology Film Archives, and from Chicago to Austin and Milan. They have aired on New York’s PBS station, been written up favorably in the New York Times, Indiewire and the Daily News, and received DVD distribution with Film Movement. He’s made several spec commercials, the first of which won a production grant and award for AT&T and MoFilm.com. He has a script optioned by writer/director/producer George LaVoo (Emmy-nominated A DOG YEAR, Sundance award-winning REAL WOMEN HAVE CURVES) and was chosen as 1 of 25 filmmakers to participate in the new IFP/ Film Society of Lincoln Center program Emerging Visions, held during the 2011 New York Film Festival. He’s written, directed and edited a number of commercials through production grants from MoFilm.com for various brands including American Express, Lenovo, Smirnoff, Friskies, Gillette, AT&T, and Coastal.com. Four have placed in international contests and three received digital exhibition in China.

He has also served as a script analyst for the late Alan Pakula, Artisan Entertainment (now Lionsgate), and the Tribeca Film Festival. He has been on screening committees for three Grand Marnier Film Fellowships, two IFP Film Markets and a NY Asian American Film Festival. He has programmed film events at Lincoln Center and The Picture House for notable filmmakers and actors including Susan Sarandon, Matt Dillon, Wes Anderson, Benicio del Toro, Gabriel Byrne, Keri Russell, Thandie Newton, Edie Falco, Sam Rockwell, Steve Buscemi, Simon Pegg, Paul Dano, Jonathan Demme, and Abel Ferrara, among others.
