About You: | For the last 10 years I have been working as director, cameraman and editor for many media productions and broadcasters (such as Endemol Italia, FremantleMedia Italia, Palomar, Burgess Productions, FaroFilms, RAI, TV2000, TV5MONDE, Travel Channel UK, etc), shooting in roughly 30 countries worldwide (including Papua New Guinea, Japan, China, Cambodia, India, Mali, Ethiopia, Malawi, Mozambique, Botswana, Morocco, Mauritania, Algeria, Guatemala, Salvador, Peru, USA, Turkey, Rumania, Albania, Western and Northern Europe). I mainly focus on social and cultural issues and I have directed award-winning documentaries about religion, politics and cultural issues in Guatemala, Cambodia, Italy. I have collaborated with United Nations, European Commission, UNDP, Italian Cooperation, Italian Ministry of Environment, Unicef and many NGOs around the world (Enel nel Cuore, Cinemovel Foundation, CARE, Humana People to People, CIAI, Comunità€ di Capodarco, Fundacion Vicente Ferrer, etc). Moreover have I worked as filmmaker for lifestyle TV shows, short-films and art feature documentaries. I also have experience in teaching documentary filmmaking, in Italy (addressed to journalists and high school students) and Morocco (project funded by Italian Cooperation and addressed to university students). I graduated with honors in media arts (master degree – Università€ della Calabria) and in TV direction (NUCT, Rome). I am fluent in English and French, proficient in Spanish, and speak some Portuguese. My interests include development issues, travel culture, photography, contemporary art and modern history. I am well travelled and used to harsh environments, with experience in filming in conflict zones. I am good in troubleshooting and dealing with people from different backgrounds.
