| About You: | Hi, my name is Hector Marin. I’m an editor, script supervisor, and PA in Las Vegas looking for work in the LA area. I have 5 years experience editing low-budget features, shorts, web video, demo reels, commercials, broadcast news, and pilot reality shows. I do most of my freelance work on FCP7 and Premiere Pro CS6, but I became very familiar with the Avid and ISIS storage system workflow in college and during my internship at KVVU FOX 5. I worked on Edius when I worked at KTNV Channel 13. I also have experience shooting video on the Panasonic HVX and Sony XDCAM EX. I’m familiar with the following camera to NLE workflows: Canon DSLR, Panasonic HVX, and Sony XDCAM. I can encode video for final delivery to the web, dvd, blu-ray, and mobile. I’m learning basic title graphics using Cinema 4D and Adobe CS5. My MacBook Pro is equipped with Final Cut Pro 7, Adobe CS5, and Cinema 4D. I have 5 years additional experience as a script supervisor and data manager. I enjoy the challenge of tackling a difficult project and am quick to respond to any unexpected issues. I’m very organized, detail oriented, and a team player. I believe these traits not only save time and money, but also create more opportunities for inspiration, creativity, and originality. I have a BA in journalism with a minor in film from UNLV.
