MARC PYE BIOGRAPHY:

Marc Pye is a writer for film and television and has written over 100 hours of serial drama. Amongst his television credits are EastEnders, Holby City, The Bill, Waterloo Road, The Royal, Holby Blue, Doctors, Echo Beach, River City, High Road and RTE’s Fair City, but is probably best known for his work with Jimmy McGovern, where he wrote The Flasher for the BAFTA, International Emmy and RTS award winning Series One of The Street. Marc then went on to work with Jimmy on his daytime series Moving On, where he penned the powerful and moving story, Bully.

He is the author of two novels, Lollipop and Rewire (Sceptre) and his three short films – Baldy McBain, Last Legs and Instant Credit all premiered at the Edinburgh International Film Festival. Instant Credit was also selected for the Newport Beach Film Festival, LA in 2004.

His first co written feature film, Act of Grace, starring Leo Gregory, David Yip and Jennifer Lim was released May 2012 his second feature, The Daniel Connection, is currently in post production.

In 2010 Marc attended The Writer’s Factory Introduction to Screenwriting course and Training the Trainers Feature Film Course run by Phil Parker, and since 2010 has been one of the Writers Factory trainers for feature film. http://writersfactory.co.uk/marc-pye/
