I’m a Masters of Arts in Media Studies and Professional Communications recipient from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Throughout my work experience, I have developed various skills that include: television production, customer service, public relations, marketing, radio and copy and print services.
I have previous internship experience on two major television programs. These programs are ABC’s The Chew and The Martha Stewart Show. Both internships gave me exposure to different aspects of production. At The Martha Stewart Show, my responsibilities included researching and transcribing for producers. While working with the Audience Department for both The Martha Stewart Show and ABC’s The Chew, engaging with the public was one of the tasks. These duties included loading in the audience, keeping an organized structure and catering to the audience needs to make their television experience worthwhile.
Working with the Production Team for both television shows I gained hands on experience as Production Assistant. The assignments that were delegated to me included running errands that were crucial to the program. Errands ranged from retrieving props and audience giveaways to exchanging and returning wardrobe for the show’s hosts. At The Chew, working with the Field Department I was a liaison in the Samsung Integration segment, which included a home renovation worth over $15,000. During the shooting of The Katz Delicatessen segment, I assisted the Field Team with setting up equipment such as lighting and camera operations. In the process of The Chew’s second season cookbook, I ran integral errands for the Culinary Department including retrieving props, ordering food and buying food.
Also, I have had experience as a Production Assistant on an IMDB featured movie. As a
Production Assistant, my responsibilities included assisting Directors, Producers and Actors by
assembling movie sets and accommodating them. In the film I was also the slater. In the slater role during pre-production I notified the Director and Camera Man about the upcoming scene, take and audio in progress.
Gaining hands on experience during my internships and experience as a Production Assistant has given me a passion for the television industry. The entry level position I wish to attain is Production Assistant or Associate. This position is best suitable for my attributes because of my valuable experience in the field. If given the opportunity to be hired, I will not fall short of greatness. Three words that best describe me are tenacious, ambitious and desirous.
