I’m an Emmy Award winning, Sundance FF Alum, documentary filmmaker and I’m looking for a new project to collaborate on with an established documentary producer. I have high end HD gear, lighting, basic audio and I edit. My past films have screened at Sundance and aired nationally on PBS. I have written and received grants and funding from ITVS Open Call, ITVS Diversity Development Fund, and National Geographic’s now defunct All Roads Seed Grant. I also sat on the ITVS final round selection panel once so I sort of have some insight from that insider perspective.
I am most interested in indigenous cultures and issues, but also environmental issues, social justice issues, radical politics, biopics, and music. I think its important to find a strong story within the framework of these issues, stories that will resonate with a large audience, otherwise the funding will be an uphill battle with no guarantee. I have some experience with Kickstarter, but my project fell short so I guess you could say I learned what not to do for a Kickstarter campaign.
If you’re interested in exploring a collaboration send me an email with some info about yourself, your professional background and what you’re interests are in terms of your next documentary project. Also include a little about your past filmmaking partnerships. If I think we could gel I’ll get back to you with more details about my experience etc and then we can meet up and discuss ideas etc.
