The Cat and The Hatchet is seeking a Props Master to join our team for an upcoming horror proof-of-concept shooting in the Greater Toronto Area.
Produced by Kaleb Carmichael and Mark Ricci, with financing from Kyle Godfrey (Stromedy), the project is being developed as a proof of concept for a potential feature film adaptation.
Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Ontario
Rehearsals: June 29–30
Shoot Dates: July 1–3
We’re looking for a creative, resourceful Props Master who can help source, build, and organize the practical elements that bring our world to life.
Responsibilities include helping assemble and prepare:
• Hero props, including journals, VHS tapes, a custom storybook, family photographs, a hero hatchet, and vintage electronics
• Custom paper props such as research notes, sketches, labels, illustrations, and aged documents
• Set dressing to create a creepy, neglected family home, including books, furniture, boxes, photographs, and other atmospheric details
This is a horror project that relies heavily on practical storytelling through props and environmental details, so we’re looking for someone who enjoys finding creative solutions and building memorable visual elements on a budget.
