Going out on a whim here, because I know this group is mostly people working in film. However, I figured this could be a good place to find someone with a strong creative eye who wants to grow in the social media space.
I run a growing social media/video agency, and I’m looking for a junior editor to help with short-form social media edits on a part-time, per-video basis.
This role is best for someone who understands the pace of social media content and is comfortable working on multiple short videos at once. We work across different industries, so the content is always changing.One week could be coaching/business content, another could be lifestyle, brand, corporate, or behind-the-scenes style content.
You do not need to be an expert editor with years of experience.What I care about more is:
You have a good eye for pacing, storytelling, and clean edits
You understand what makes social content engaging
You are comfortable using Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or CapCut
You can stay organized when handling multiple videos
You take feedback well and want to improve
You are reliable, communicative, and easy to work with
You are hungry to grow with a company long-term
The bigger vision is to find someone who could eventually grow into a lead editor role and help manage a small editing team. This would not happen overnight, and I don’t want to overpromise anything. But if we work well together, there is definitely room for this to become a bigger opportunity.
For now, this would start part-time, remote, and paid per video. The goal is to get to know each other, test a few projects, and see if it’s a good fit on both sides.
This is a remote position, so you do not need to be based in Toronto.
