    ART DIRECTOR / SET DECORATOR – DOCUMENTARY TV – JOB POSTING – Vancouver Island – May-Sept
    Must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
    Must be a BC Resident (paid 2025 taxes in BC) currently living on or near Vancouver Island.
    Key Responsibilities
    • Review design packages and materials via Google Drive to understand overall aesthetic and direction.
    • Collaborate closely with the Designer and Design Producer to execute the creative vision for each episode.
    • Develop and manage shopping lists in collaboration with the Design Producer
    • Case by case: Source furnishings and décor in alignment with design packages and per-episode budgets
    • Case by case: Shop for and procure décor items, ensuring all selections meet creative and budget requirements.
    • Track, organize, and reconcile receipts, including final tallies at the end of each reveal.
    • Monitor the status of all your ordered items (furnishings, materials, décor), including tracking deliveries and warehouse intake.
    • Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure all items are properly received, labeled, and organized by episode.
    • Execute styling and dressing of spaces to ensure projects are camera-ready for reveal.
    • Maintain and utilize a styling/beauty kit during dress days.
    • Attend reveal days to oversee final styling details, including décor, florals, and food
    props, ensuring the design vision is maintained on camera.
    • Handle post-reveal tasks including returns and organization of unused items.
    • Potential site visits if needed.
    • Attend weekly look ahead meetings with design team.
    Qualifications
    • Experience in television, set design, interior design, or styling preferred.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive production environment.
    • Strong understanding of budgeting and cost tracking
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
    • Have a valid drives license, cell phone, and laptop.
