    ISO: PRODUCER for Telefilm Talent to Watch Feature (Narrative Drama)

    Logline: In the wake of his sister’s death, a bartender battling opioid dependency must care for his orphaned amputee nephew—discovering that the only way to honour his protector is to become one himself.

    The Search: We are seeking a passionate, detail-oriented Producer to join the creative team for a narrative feature application to the Telefilm Talent to Watch Program (April 2026 deadline).
    Eligibility Apply-Direct Stream: To fit the “Emerging Talent” mandate for this specific program, you must:
    Be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
    Have not previously held a Producer, Co-Producer, or Executive Producer credit on a feature film (75+ mins) financed outside this program.
    Have experience producing high-quality short films, digital series, or equivalent industry experience.
    Ideally, be based in (or have strong ties to) Ontario.
    For the Apply-Direct Stream, all key members of the creative team (Producer, Writer, and Director) must self-identify as belonging to one or more of the following groups:
    Persons with disabilities
    Indigenous, Black, or People of Colour.
    Women or Gender-diverse individuals.
    2SLGBTQIA+ individuals.
    Members of an Official Language Minority Community (e.g., Anglophones in Quebec).
    Who You Are:
    You understand the “Micro-Budget” world ($150k–$500k range) and how to make every dollar hit the screen.
    You are passionate about stories involving disability representation, addiction/recovery, and authentic Canadian grit.
    You are ready to help shepherd the project through the grant application, provincial tax credits, and the Industry Partner stream.
