Montreal Crew 1 year, 7 months ago Hey flick folks, Christina Saliba is looking to bring on a director for a queer comedy-horror stage play set for early 2024. This is a paid position; the director will need to be involved in an initial table read, auditions, rehearsals (over a 6-8 weeks period), and final showcase. The schedule will be worked out with the director 🙂 They highly encourage BIPOC+, LGBTQIA+, Women, Disabled and other marginalized groups to apply. Position based in MTL.
It is a multi-disciplinary show with projection mapping, audience interactivity, and a cast of 8. I’m looking for someone who has experience in directing stage plays but also has an improv/sketch/comedy background. Although this is a scripted stage play, there is room for lots of physical comedy and we encourage some improv with the material.
This play is a sequel to Lesbian Speed Date from Hell! which was showcased at Festival de la Bête Noire, OFF-JFL, and Fierté Montreal Pride. You can check out a trailer for the initial show down below, to get a feel of tone for the show.
