Hello nautical folk!
Message from Kate Ferguson, a production designer and set decorator working on an independent feature film here in Vancouver, and she needs to rent a sailboat!
(We are in fact the ONLY all Canadian production left on the West Coast- the others all having fled to Toronto or Montreal, or servicing the American film and TV industry)
We are shooting an independent feature film from June 6th in Langley, and require a sailboat to sit on a trailer outside a house for about 3 weeks. In the script it’s about 30yrs old but we can be pretty flexible abt the particulars.
Nothing scary will happen to it, people will have to touch it in one scene only, the rest of the time it just sits there.
And WE CAN PAY YOU. I’m not sure of the exact amount but I believe it to be a fair and decent price according to industry standards.This is an independent but very well connected film. We have distributor backing, we have a very famous actor who is willing to take an enormous pay cut to be part of our fantastic, meaningful film, and we fully expect to go to Canne Film Festival with this, and to win awards.
Please help us out, be a part of an award winning all Canadian production, and make cinematic history on a really important topic.
