I’ve been writing for 6 years as a hobby, and now I am looking for a project to work on so that I could use my talent to help make a great piece of work.
Why don’t you take a short story or series of related articles and turn them into a script or screenplay for a short piece, which you could then hire or recruit some friends from film school or amateur projects in film to help you develop into a kind of ‘demo’ or ‘rough’ piece of short film? If you like it, maybe you could get a grant and develop it into something better, and submit it to a competition, if you like.
